In 1978, our founder Peter Fowler Grippaudo began working as a concreter which his where his passion and experience in the building industry began.
When he was 19, Peter Grippaudo partnered with his father-in-law Loreto Paris and started Fowler Concrete. Peter and Loreto worked long hours providing manual labour during the day and completing paperwork at night. Soon after, Peter and his wife Gabriella took over the business going on to employ a team of over 40 concreters, buying their own trucks and machinery eventually becoming a well-known and highly respected concrete company within the industry.
FUN FACT: THE WORD ‘FOWLER’ WAS FIRST USED BY PETER’S FATHER-IN-LAW, LORETO. HE ORGANISED A CONCRETE DELIVERY TO HIS HOME ADDRESS ON FOWLER STREET, MERRYLANDS. WHEN ASKED FOR A COMPANY NAME, HE SAID ‘FOWLER STREET’. WHEN THE INVOICE ARRIVED, IT WAS ADDRESSED TO FOWLER CONCRETE. THEY THEN REGISTERED THEIR BUSINESS AS FOWLER CONCRETE.
Our Passion and Commitment spans over 3 Generations
Peter and Gabriella’s son, Frank Grippaudo, joined the family business as a concreter following in his father’s footsteps. During this time, Frank also worked as a concreter for other builders. After listening to trades and clients’ feedback onsite about the home building process Frank was determined to find a way ‘to do it better’. Frank completed his Diploma in Building and shared in Peter’s passion to build high-quality homes for Australian families. Frank went on to design and build the first of many display homes across the Sydney, Hunter and Central Coast regions.
Frank is currently the Managing Director and is responsible for the direction of the business. Frank’s vision is clear and his hunger for perfection and success remains unsurpassed. Frank’s goal has always been for Fowler Homes’ to be recognized for its outstanding and innovative architectural designs, building high-quality homes which will ultimately remain the pride and joy of the families who live in them. The family values are shared by our team and extend to include our clients, trades and suppliers.
