Building a new home may seem daunting which is why we have developed the Fowler BuildRight Process.

We pride ourselves on providing our clients with a stress-free and streamlined experience from the moment you step inside one our display homes to the day your Site Supervisor presents you with the keys to your new Fowler home!

Whether you are building a single or double-storey home, a custom or acreage home, a house & land package or a knockdown rebuild – our BuildRight process has been created to provide you with an overview from start to finish, touching on the key milestones to help you better understand what to expect throughout your building journey as we bring your dream home to life.

What’s involved in the
BuildRight process?

During the initial stages of your building journey, you will work closely with an experienced Building & Design Consultant to find the perfect Fowler home and/or block for your family. Your Building & Design Consultant will be your main point of contact.


THIS STAGE INCLUDES:

  • Private Display Home Tour
  • Tender Request
  • Ordering of Preliminary Site Reports
  • Drafting of Preliminary Plans
  • Formal Tender Presentation
  • Formal Tender Acceptance

Throughout the Pre-Construction stage your Client Relations Specialist (CRS) will be your main point of contact. They coordinate all site related reports pertaining to your land and new home to obtain all relevant approvals, ensuring you move through to Construction as soon as possible. Once all required reports and approvals have been received you will attend your Internal & External Selections Consultations at our House of Colour studio and external suppliers.


THIS STAGE INCLUDES:

  • Obtaining all required reports and approvals
  • Attending Internal & External Selections Consultations
  • Authority to commence Construction

Welcome to Construction! The most exciting and active stage of your building journey. Sit back, relax and watch your dream home be brought to life! Your Site Supervisor will oversee the entire build and is responsible for coordinating and managing all trades and suppliers from site preparation right through to handover. They will provide you with updates on the progress of your home on a fortnightly basis.


THE PRELIMINARY STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Temporary Fencing Install
  • Site Toilet Delivery
  • Installation of FH Signage & Lock to Site Entrance Gates
  • Installation of Sediment Control

THE EARTHWORKS STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Benching of site for Slab process to begin
  • All Weather Access material installed to the site entrance
  • Spoil Removal

THE CONCRETE STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Piering
  • Internal Drainage
  • Spoil Removal
  • Formwork, Pod & Steel Install
  • Slab Pour
  • External Drainage

THE FRAME STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Installation of Wall Frames
  • Flooring System
  • (Applicable to 2-Storey Homes only)
  • Installation of Trusses
  • Plumbing Rough In
  • Waste Cage install

THE BRICKWORK STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Brickwork
  • Scaffolding (where applicable)
  • Render (where applicable)
  • Installation of Fascia & Gutter

THE ROOF STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Installation of Roof Covering
  • (Tiles or Metal Roof)
  • Installation of Eaves
  • Brick Cleaning Rough-Ins (Electrical, AC & Home Automation – where applicable)
  • Frame Inspection
  • Pre-Linings Walkthrough with your Supervisor

THE LOCKUP STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Plasterboard Install
  • Stairs Install (where applicable)
  • Fix-Out install
  • Waterproofing
  • Waterproofing Inspection
  • Installation of Kitchen & Vanities

THE FINISH-OFF STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Internal Wall & Floor Tiling
  • Painting
  • Finish Offs such as installation of tapware, electrical fittings, door furniture, etc.
  • House Clean

THE SETTLEMENT STAGE WHICH INCLUDES:

  • Final Inspection
  • Practical Completion Inspection (with Client)
  • Settlement/Handover Day (with Client)

Following handover of your new Fowler home, you will move into the Quality Assurance stage. Our Quality Assurance Department will be able to assist with any maintenance/warranty requests or questions you may have.


THIS STAGE INCLUDES:

  • 13 Week Quality Assurance Form
  • Any maintenance/warranty requests following handover
